
Thanksgiving Break!


Our schools and offices will be closed next week. We hope everyone enjoys a safe and restful holiday with loved ones! Classes will resume on Monday, Dec 2nd.


Our elementary students got a special performance of the high school play "Miss Nelson is Missing" today, and they LOVED it! Don’t miss your chance to see it too!
Opening night TONIGHT @7pm. They will also perform on the 22nd @ 7pm and the 23rd at 2pm and 7pm.








Gerdes staff had some fun today with the Turkey Plate game! Blok, Gleason, Wood, Kirkwood, Fernandez, Arredondo, Romero, Camacho, and Kurtis got all six items on their plates by the end of the day. Congratulations to the winners!

Our second round of basketball games was split with a win for 7th grade, while 8th grade fell to Stockdale. Both teams gave it their all!

At tonight's board meeting, the Spotlight Students and Staff were honored. Fifth grade math teacher Terri Crowell is the Spotlight Staff of the Month. The Spotlight Students are second grader Odalya Garcia, eighth grader Nathan Renteria, and tenth grader Dominik Anderson. Our seventh grade science students are exploring the fascinating relationship between temperature and the kinetic energy of particles within a substance by playing an engaging game of "Climb the Ladder." Hands-on learning makes science exciting--way to go, Gerdes scientists!

The Gerdes Jr. High Band had an amazing end of the week full of musical excellence! In just two short days, Seventh and Eighth Grade Band students performed at their own Jr. High Pep-Rally, a Luling HS Pep-Rally combined with the LHS Eagle Band, and an LHS Football Game in the stands and on the field during Halftime. GJH Band students contributed immensely to all events participated in and showcased fantastic attention to detail and discipline. Great job everyone!! 🎼🎶
