IT’S OFFICIAL: SPRING BREAK HAS BEGUN! Enjoy, be safe, and don’t forget to set an alarm on March 17th!

Good luck to our GJH students trying out for Junior/High school cheer!

We'd like to congratulate the GJH Varsity Symphonic Band on their earning of Sweepstakes, a 1st Division on Stage and 1st Division in Sightreading, Tuesday March 4th.
Varsity Symphonic Band Students performed difficult music for 6 judges total at Cuero HS, being recognized as "Superior", the highest rating the Band can receive.
Congratulations to you students and thank you for your support everyone!

Early release tomorrow before Spring Break? It’s like a teaser trailer for the main event. Enjoy your half-day of freedom before FULL vacation mode kicks in!

Our amazing Shanklin Student Council members are hard at work designing an epic obstacle course for this year’s Bike Rodeo at April Fest! They’re putting their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test to create fun and challenging stations to help riders sharpen their biking skills, practice safety, and most importantly—have a blast!

Running on empty? Bad idea. Running to the cafeteria for breakfast and lunch? Genius. Don’t let hunger win—fuel up and stay sharp!

Congratulations to our March Spotlight Staff Member and Students! Thank you for making a difference every day and being a shining example of a Luling Eagle!
Staff: Mrs. Bryant
Shanklin: Jason Ramirez

Shoutout to the JB Nickells library for absolutely killing it with amazing activities this March! From a kitten class to a lego derby to a bilingual financial literacy class, there’s something for everyone. Don’t miss out—check out their schedule and join the fun!

Honored to have Luling ISD recognized at the Capitol in both the House & Senate! Superintendent Warren, Board President Conley, and Trustee Rios proudly represented us, advocating for the future of public education. Staying informed & engaged is key to making a difference!

Congratulations to the Spotlight Students and Staff for February! The Spotlight Students are Charles McVay, a third grader at Shanklin, Adilynn Decamp, a sixth grader at Gerdes, and Shyann Vela a senior at LHS. Also, pictured are Ileana Rondan, our Spotlight student at LHS from December, and Mr. Corbin Patterson, Spotlight Staff member for February. #LulingPrepare #LulingEmpower #LulingInspire

Food > Hunger Pains. Don’t let your stomach embarrass you in class—hit up the cafeteria for breakfast and lunch! Your brain (and your classmates) will thank you.

We are excited to celebrate Black History Month this week! This is a chance to honor the incredible contributions of Black history and culture.

Your stomach called—it’s filing a missing food report. Don’t let it go hungry! Grab breakfast and lunch in the cafeteria before it starts growling in class.

Happy Valentine’s Day to our amazing staff! ♥️ To show our appreciation, we’ve brought in Tom's Coffee truck—every staff member gets a free drink on us! Enjoy your treat and have a great PD day!

We couldn’t be more proud of our NJHS inductees! What an incredible ceremony, celebrating the hard work, dedication, and leadership of these amazing students. We are so excited for what the future holds!

Special Education Parent Advisory Council Meeting
📅 Wednesday, Feb. 26 | ⏰ 4:30–5:30 PM
📍 Luling ISD Central Office
Parents and guardians, we invite you to connect, collaborate, and learn more about our shared commitment to supporting students in special education.
Hope to see you there!

Our Valentine's Dance is a huge hit! Love seeing our students join in on the fun!

We want to remind families about our Grab and Go breakfast cart at Shanklin Elementary! This cart features convenient K-12 compliant breakfast options for students who would like to bypass the cafeteria in the morning and head to an alternate destination. This is also a great option for students who may not arrive as early as others and risk missing instruction time if they stop at the cafeteria. At the Grab and Go cart, you can find individually wrapped cereal bars, whole grain animal crackers, dairy products like milk and string cheese, and a healthy fresh fruit option! Let's help our kiddos have a healthy meal each and every morning!
